Distinctive Features of the Initiative

• The U-PROBE Initiative in Uttaranchal aims at making science teaching and learning in schools an intersting and joyful experience. One hundred schools will be selected in the pilot phase.



• It has a focus on mountain meteorology and capacity building in understanding climate change.



• The initiative aims at linking students,teachers,scientific community and the development workers at the grassroot level.



• The following universities have been invited to participate as nodal centers,they will be linked to various schools in the neighbouring districts.
